The Alchemy of Light, a great multimedia spectacle, returned to the place where the project was born – the Royal Wawel Castle in Krakow, Poland. Thanks to the advanced technology and remarkable artistic means of expression, it has again shifted viewers to a different world and dimension.
This year, this unique show was inspired by the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence. This time, the Krakow audience immersed themselves in a fairy tale, full of emotions and symbols, a story about the changing fate of the country, guided by a tree speaking with the voice of Jerzy Trela. In front of the spectators, the tree grew, it became stronger, but was it always able to withstand the strength of nature? It flourished, seemed fruit, and healed the branches scarred by the wind. He was a witness to history, but also a wise prophet. At his feet unusual things occurred, full of fear and sadness, but also joy and hope.
Alchemy of Light is a multimedia spectacle combining modern visual arts: three-dimensional mapping, light shows, laser and pyrotechnics, live music, singing and dancing and various elements of the theater of form. To prepare this unique performance, we used top-class multimedia projectors, multi-faceted animations and the highest-quality surround sound, creating a rich artistic experience that affects all the senses.
The show premiered in 2015 in Wawel. In subsequent years, it was exhibited in Wrocław and Katowice, in order to return to Kraków in 2018. Alchemia Światła is a laureate of many prestigious, industry awards including Top Event 2015, Top Event 2017, MP Power Awards 2015 for the best event and the best visual setting of the year.
