Christmas illuminations

In December, we prepared a special Christmas setting for TAURON Dystrybucja in three different locations.

At the foot of the facade of the new company headquarters in Krakow, we put a large structure woven of ultraviolet glowing tapes and threads inspired by electric wires and energy flow. The extraordinary spatial form of the Christmas tree built on the outline of a snowflake combined tradition with ultra-modernity and was the original decorative motif of festive Krakow.

This monumental, as well as subtle and delicate installation was made by two DECODEtheCODE artists, Marta Basandowska and Przemek Podolski, who specialize in the design and implementation of spatial scenographic objects in the String Art technique. They used over 15 km to create this unusual, over 5-meter Christmas tree white tapes, which after dark glimmered in ultraviolet light, emanating the glow and giving the impression of luminescence.

We placed a similar Christmas tree in front of the University of Silesia in Katowice.

We also made the architectural illumination of the facade on the corner of Starowiślna and Podgórska streets based on TAURON colors, and enriched the subtly flickering streaks of magenta light with moving images of rotating snowflakes.

On December 16, we also prepared a projection and Christmas illumination of the Bishop’s Palace at ul. Franciszkańska in Krakow.
